Kayli Kimura is a Japanese-American creative director, visual storyteller, and talent manager. Her work spans across various genres with a focus on non-fiction storytelling and musically-driven films. Her documentary short film, sansedai, world premiered at the 40th annual VC Film Festival in LA (fka LAAPFF) and is currently screening in the festival circuit. Kayli was a 2023/24 Armed With a Camera Fellow and was selected as a mentee for Asian American Collective & Symphonic Women Empowered. She has worked on a variety of commercials, TV shows, documentaries and music videos including projects for Netflix, Hulu, Food Network, PBS, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Telfar, A$AP Rocky, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, and Adidas.

Kayli is the creative director and manager for Queens, NY-born, Nigerian-American rapper and producer, AKINYEMI. Together they have collaborated on over a dozen visuals with their work recognized in Rolling Stone, Billboard, Lyrical Lemonade, Office Magazine, Wonderland Magazine, Earmilk, and Flaunt.

She was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado and recently relocated to Los Angeles, CA after living in NYC for almost 5 years. She graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine with majors in Sociology and Environmental Studies and a minor in Music. She also studied cinematography at Maine Media Workshops and College in their cinematography intensive program.
